tom, you would have dug the bass i used...i was having intonation issues with my greco/jazz so the guitar player (we recorded in his home studio) let me borrow his 1968 fender precision...all original...man did that thing have a KILLER tone...
jeff, like i said, basically recorded direct in an extra bedroom in the guitar player's house...6 songs...bass tracks took less than 90 minutes...lead vox less than 90 minutes...bg vox about 30 minutes...not sure about time for the drummer and guitar player...and the mixes were done really quick so we could have some tunes for our promo pack...john really has a great ear and talent for recording and mixing...
we kinda did an in between version of zevon's and rondstadt's...i kept pushing them to go warren's way, but we never made it...maybe in the next incarnation of the band we can do it thataway...

Granted, mine is not an unbiased opinion, but I sure do like the bass out in front like that. Cool ending too.
Nice recording...

Sounds good. Keep working on trying to get Poor Poor Pitiful Me on the Blog. Love Warren Zevon's version off of Learning to Flinch.
