The wife and I celebrated the 17th last weekend by a trip to the Library. Lots of interesting books to read but I didn't read any. Same place, same entertainment area, same tiny tables in the lounge, same pictures on the walls, same great food.
My God it takes me back! I half expected Lax and company to show up for the entertainment.

I still have Patti Lax's album. She and my mom were good friends.
My mom worked at the Library for a long time too.
Was there in July and loved it. Same ol place indeed. Great prime rib and the salad bar with chilled metal plates makes everything so nice and cool and crunchy... the outside however needs some serious work, the place looks like a total dump and I'd bet they are on the way out just waiting for some insurance money after the "fire" or "colapse".
